Meet the Breeder

Hello! My name is Pam Banta. I live in Utah and I've been breeding beautiful ragdolls

since 2011. I'm the mother of 12 children. We've had the privilege of adopting 3

children from India, one black boy from California and 3 half-Hispanic children from

Utah. 5 joined our family the old-fashioned way of me giving birth to them, haha. I've

been married to a great retired Army colonel for 40 years. We've lived in Wyoming,

                                 Alabama, Oklahoma and Utah.

All our children are adults. Two boys, Ammon and Caleb, live in heaven. We miss them

so much! We have 17 grandchildren with the potential of a few more. A few of them

relish helping with kittens. Waiting for the updated picture, but this was us 5 years ago.

My breeding journey has taken us from our 2 original unregistered girls to all TICA registered. We've had traditionals in traditional seal and blue, solids in black torbie and red, several minks, including a cinnamon.

We currently have:

seal torbie sepia girl, carries chocolate, Merida (Cherubim)

seal mitted girl, Londyn that carries cinnamon and dilute

seal colorpoint girl, Nyssa that carries cinnamon and dilute

2 chocolate mitted girls that carry cinnamon and dilute, Tibbi and Dove

Maple, a blue tortie, that lives with my daughter. She is a new kitten and won't breed till around mid 2026

Our stud is Kirin. He is a seal bicolor that carries cinnamon and dilute

Both Londyn and Dove will be retiring in 2026. Merida has a litter currently and will retire after her next litter in 2026. At that point, we will have Tibbi, Nyssa and Maple that will continue to breed till 2029. We may get another girl sometime in the next year.

Genetics and health are very important to us. It's worth the money to test prospective cats before we even buy them to make sure the health and color genetics are clear and the colors we need to produce the kittens you love. We spay/neuter kittens before they go home. There are some controversial opinions out there about early spay/neuter, but our understanding is it's healthy for it to be done. That saves you the money and time to do it later and without the risk of an unexpected pregnancy.

We have developed very strong chocolate and cinnamon lines. We get seal, blue (finally a blue in this last litter!), cinnamon, fawn, chocolate and lilac. It's been a lot of work getting the great stud and girls we have with good bloodlines and great color ang health genetics. My dream is to find a lynx in either chocolate or cinnamon to replace Merida when she retires so we can continue producing lynx, only in traditional. When she retires, we will only have traditional ragdolls. But, oh her kittens are so cute! Maybe I'll have to find a sepia lynx instead! When TICA changed their registrations and created Cherubim for the mink, sepia and solid ragdolls, I had decided to retire Ember and Merida and only have traditional ragdolls. Ember has gone to a great home, and we will be keeping Merida as a companion for Kirin. But the temptation is there to have just one Cherubim. If I get a sepia like Merida, then I know for sure I'll be getting mink kittens and it can help reduce costs in color testing kittens when there are some tricky ones that just don't want to let me know very early what their colors are.

We feed our cats a high quality cat food. They have been very healthy on this food and we love it when families choose to keep their beloved pet on it when they go home. I've created a page for articles and information to help cat owners with their new family members, everything from safe plants, water fountains, etc. Please check it out and if you want info on something else, let me know and I'll do my best to find it and add it to the page.
